What military issued MRE's taste like?

So how should the military rations or meals ready to eat in the U.S. Army …. how they taste or They feel horrible in your mouth when you eat?

Some are good, most are terrible. They keep you full, though. So fortunately need Do not they eat all day. Hasbrown with bacon are horrible. It's like eating a ham salad. Normally, I skip the appetizers and just snack food, drinks and sweets. My basic meal consists of crackers, toaster pastries, juice and skittles.
